Course Description
The Series is intended for majors in chemical, physical, biological sciences, and engineering. It presents the foundation principles of chemistry, including the atoms and elements, the periodic table, chemical bonding, molecular structure, ideal and real gases, solutions, solids, chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, acid-base & solubility equilibria, oxidation-reduction reactions & electrochemistry, coordination chemistry, and modern chemical experiment methods. Examples and applications will be drawn from diverse areas of interest such as atmospheric, environmental, materials, polymer, and biochemistry. This is a full-time online course.Rules & Requirements
Prerequisites: High school chemistry with a grade of A- or higher; high school physics (with a grade of B or higher) and calculus (may be taken concurrently) are recommended.Additional Details
